Special
Announcement! 2010: Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park
is now open! The
day-use area includes the shut-ins, picnic areas, a series
of pedestrian trails, access to the East Fork of the Black
River, several interpretive shelters and the park store.
Visitors can access the scour channel from a new
trail, which can be accessed from Highway N. The park will
be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and the store
is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. (From
MO State Parks) Camping at Johnson's Shut-ins is now allowed. Also, please
see our campgrounds near
Johnson's Shut-ins.

the Black River Area in the Ozarks is the perfect

tubes or kayaks. Only two hours southwest
of St. Louis, we are the hub of recreational activities
in the Southeast Missouri Ozarks. Visit Taum
Sauk, Missouri's highest mountain, the Ozark Trail,
Bell Mountain Wilderness Area and Mark Twain National
Forest. Elephant Rocks is close by and don't
miss Fort Davidson Historic site. We also have
many artisans
and antique shops in our area. So take
a few minutes to explore our site. We

The Lesterville Cancer Crusaders are holding their Annual Golf Tournament at Arcadia Valley Country Club on Friday, August 6th at 9:00 a.m. $100.00/per 2 man team + cart fee. Lots of prizes and fun. Lunch will be provided.
